Trade: Business Adminstration

Borough: Barnet

Qualification: Level 2 Business Administration

Main Contractors: Barratt, Mulalley

Project:  Trinity Square, Barnet (Barratt)

Before K10, Laura was working in bars and restaurants to make a living. She always had her eyes set on Administration, but needed a kick start into the industry. She found that an apprenticeship was the best way to do so.

Laura has this to say: “My apprenticeship with K10 was a great way to get my career started in administration. I wanted to try something new, and Administration sounded perfect for me. The apprenticehip itself opened my eyes. I really enjoyed my apprenticeship and I am loving working for Barratt!”

Laura ended up completing her Level 2 apprenticeship and eventually being offered a full time position with Barratt as a Document Controller. This is a great example of what a Business Administration apprenticeship can turn into upon completion.

Her Apprentice Manager, Peter Bannister, had this to say about her time with K10 “We had Laura on site with Mullaley, as well as Barratt. She put in an excellent performance at all times, and her current placement with Barratt is well deserved!

Laura is great example of the many hardworking women that we have on site, and her story certainly deserves a mention on International Women’s Day!
