K10 would like to say a huge well done to one of our star Business Administration apprentices; Elle Brant, for helping top construction firm Wates win a tender in Thurrock. It just goes to show how impactful to a business an apprentice can be, and how far commitment, passion and a willingness to learn and improve can take you.
Although only a recent apprentice recruit, Elle shouldered great responsibility during the bid, helping to write an evaluation of the supply chain, regularly contacting sub-contractors and also communicating and presenting to the clientele. As a result of this fantastic achievement, Elle has been rewarded with a pay rise, and she is over the moon with how her apprenticeship is progressing. “I love it, I have all the support I need and I have a great team – I couldn’t have done it without Alec, Rita, Doina, Russell, James and all the team at K10 for the support they have given me”.
Alec Waterlow, Elle’s immediate supervisor, had this to say: “Elle has done really well and we enjoy having her here, she is enthusiastic, keen, a good time keeper and always fully committed to the task in hand”.
Previously to K10, Elle was working in retail but decided that she needed a more robust foundation upon which to build a career. Elle decided on a Business Administration apprenticeship with Wates and K10 as it “was a great opportunity to earn money and get an education as well”.
From all of us at K10, well done Elle! And a big thanks to the rest of the Wates team for creating a fantastic and friendly environment in which apprentices can thrive and flourish.
