As a K10 Apprentice Site Engineer, Zavier is currently being hosted by Balfour Beatty on The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium.
Tomorrow’s Engineers met Zavier at an Inspiring Futures careers event for Careers Advisors, hosted by Balfour Beatty. Tomorrow’s Engineers is a one stop shop for information and resources about the amazing careers available in engineering. They also run a schools programme to help inspire the next generation of engineers.
Zavier was one of four speakers at the event and they were so impressed by his articulate enthusiasm for engineering and apprenticeships, they made this film to show young people the big projects that a civil engineer might work on and to make them aware of the apprenticeship route into engineering.
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium is a well-known example of civil engineering that young people will be familiar with. The place where TeamGB, Mo Farah, Usain Bolt and many other amazing athletes won medals during the London 2012 Olympics is a great project to start a career on.
