Life As A Site Management Apprentice

A K-10 construction worker in a high-visibility jacket and hard hat smiles and waves at the camera while holding surveying equipment. In the background, other workers and construction vehicles operate on a large, open site.

Meet Randeep, one of our Site Management Apprentices enrolled on the Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme.

Hi everyone, I’m Randeep a resident of London Borough of Hillingdon. Before joining K10 I was working in construction in my dad’s construction business. From a young age, I have been surrounded by this industry, and working with him has inspired me to pursue a career in this field.

Upon joining K10, I was placed with Ferrovial Construction and have been allocated to the “Wave 2 Taxiways & Stands” project. I have been involved in undertaking site inspections, inducting new starters, marking as-builts, ordering materials, and managing concrete deliveries, amongst other tasks.

I am learning and taking on more responsibilities every day. Everyone has been extremely supportive, and I feel welcome in the team.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience of my apprenticeship so far. I look forward to completing and aspiring to continue my career at Heathrow
